The annual Republican competition of scientific and technical projects in robotics “KazRoboProject” is aimed at students and students aged 10-21 years and has been held since 2016. The rules of procedure are developed by KazRobotics, taking into account the experience and requirements of international competitions.
The main purpose of the teams’ participation in the Competition is to develop creative abilities and interest in applied scientific and technical research; to teach the basics of device design, circuit reading, robot assembly, programming of developed models; to study the main components of designers and their functionality; to teach the basics of marketing research; to understand the importance of financial calculations in project activities; to prepare the project for possible practical use in real conditions.
The competition is a platform for gaining experience in speaking to experts from different industries, receiving feedback from them for further development of the project.
The teams demonstrate to the Jury the results of their research, present technical projects of various levels of complexity (from slides and layouts illustrating the idea to fully functioning devices).
The main idea of the event is to give students the opportunity to try themselves as startups, identify a problem, demonstrate the degree of its study, understand their target audience, come up with a solution, try to prove its advantages, learn how to work in a team, go through the stages of working on a project, present an idea in a way that interests experts.
Since 2020, the Contest has switched to an online format (ZOOM).
Objectives of the competition:
- Identifying the best projects and encouraging teams from different regions of the country to further develop project activities leading to startups.
- Formation of a reserve of participants for further participation in international competitions and Olympiads (subject to invitations and sponsors).
The competition is held in two age groups:
The first age group is 10-15 years old (inclusive).
The second age group is 16-21 years old (inclusive).
Competition Categories: Concepts and Prototypes.
The composition of the team to participate in the competition: 1-5 people. Participation is free.
Topics of robotics projects: Raising the quality of living of Kazakhstanis.
The organizers may recommend additional topics dedicated to special events, recommended by sponsors or suggested by scientific communities and professional associations.
The robot’s platform for participating in the competition: unlimited.
